I was what Bob Proctor called an “unconscious competent” for most of my life. I spent my early years doing gymnastics and attaining great success in the sport. Most people (including me) attributed it to my work ethic, my physical strength, and my overall positive attitude. Overall, I was just "talented." This translated nicely into not just being a high-level gymnast, but also having good grades in school and success professionally. However, why was I thriving more than others who worked just as hard?
Enter Bob Proctor. Once I began studying with Bob and learning about the Laws of the Universe and what it means to work with the Laws of the Universe, I finally understood what it was that I was doing right (and wrong!) in my life.
Many of us have heard the term “Laws of the Universe,” but what does that mean? We all know about the physical laws like gravity and magnetism, but what about the Universal Laws that we can’t see and feel with our senses? That’s what I’m going to share with you in this series of posts.
There are seven main Laws of the Universe. Some say there are more, but the others are really just offshoots of the main seven. Even though we can't see them, these laws are just as real as the laws of physics, and they help us to create the life that we want, so long as we work with them.
And what’s so incredible to understand is that everything in this Universe - including you - boils down to energy, frequencies, and vibration. What these Universal Laws do, is they explain how energy, frequencies, and vibrations “work” and how we can work with them.
Here’s a quick overview of the seven Laws of the Universe. In my following posts, I’ll explain each one in more detail for you and ways that you can make them work in your life.
1. The Law of Vibration. Many people know this as the Law of Attraction, but really, it's the Law of Vibration that is the main universal law. Essentially, what the Law of Vibration says, is that everything in this Universe moves, or vibrates. Nothing is ever at rest. This includes us, our physical bodies, but it also includes our thoughts.
2. The Law of Perpetual Transmutation. This is a mouthful. But it really is quite interesting. What this law states is that everything is constantly changing form (after all, as the Law of Vibration dictates, nothing is ever at rest). What this means is that energy is. It can never be created or destroyed, and it is constantly changing forms. Think ice changing to water, to steam, and then vapor.
3. The Law of Rhythm. This is a law that we can see a bit more with our eyes than any of the others. The Law of Rhythm dictates that everything flows, swings, that there is a reaction to every action. This law is what keeps the planets in their orbits, keeps the sun rising and setting, and influences the changing of the seasons. This is a very helpful law to understand as we get into how it affects our feelings, emotions, and moods.
4. The Law of Relativity. Things are relative. What does this mean? There is always a comparison going on. Something is high because something else is low. Something is expensive because we compare it to something else that's cheaper. Something is big to us because we see something else as smaller. I’ll show you how to use this law to your advantage, rather than your disadvantage.
5. The Law of Polarity. This law decrees that everything in this Universe has an opposite. We live in a balanced Universe, and this law is why. To every up, there is a down. To every inside, there is an outside. This is also the law that decrees that there is an answer to every question, and a solution to every problem.
6. The Law of Cause and Effect. This is the law of action and reaction. Everything in this Universe is orderly and happens according to law (think math, think physics). The Law of Cause and Effect dictates that nothing happens by accident. There is always a cause and always an effect. I’ll show you how this law relates to our thoughts and results.
7. The Law of Gender. This law decrees that there is a male and female side to everything. We see this in both the plant and animal kingdoms. What this law also decrees is that there is a gestation period for every seed. I’ll teach you how our thoughts and ideas are actually seeds and there is an incubation period for all of them before they materialize in our physical world.
Those are the seven Laws of the Universe in a nutshell. They truly are interesting, and when we can learn and understand them, we can begin to live in harmony with them and live our best life.
To Your Best Life,
Mary
