The Law of Vibration

If you’ve seen it, you know that the movie The Secret is all about the Law of Attraction. The movie is a great introduction to attraction and what it can do for you once you become more aware of your thoughts, but it doesn't really cover why it works and really get into the how. That’s what I'm going to do for you today.

What the Law of Vibration states is that nothing rests; everything vibrates at a very high rate. So even if you hold your hand out in front of you, and it appears to be still, it is still moving. Think about everything in your body continually moving at all times, the blood through your veins, your muscles, your digestive tract, everything. Now, even solid objects are vibrating. Everything ever created, from the smallest tiny particle to the largest monument, is in a constant state of movement and vibration.

Now, what does this have to do with your thoughts and your life? Well, the thoughts that you think are energy. Every thought causes a vibration in your body. And we call these vibrations “feelings.” The emotions we feel are actually us translating the vibrations of our thoughts going on in our minds. Isn’t that a cool concept? So you always know what vibration you’re in by the way that you feel.

Think about it this way. I was a gymnastics coach for many, many years. And some days there was just a great vibe going on in the gym. The kids were happy and excited to be there, and if someone finally got a skill that she was working hard on, the energy level would go up. Others would feel it, and even more gymnasts would do great things. The energy was contagious. Now, this also happened when there were one or two gymnasts (or a coach) who was feeling negative. Maybe someone had a bad day at school and brought their lower energy level to the gym. Maybe someone got hurt. That vibration would also spread throughout the groups. After all, misery loves company, right? And the Law of Vibration is why.

There is a connection between your feelings (the vibration you’re in), what you attract to yourself, and the results that you get. If you are feeling low, more things will come into your world to make you feel that way. If you’re feeling happy, you’ll experience more things to make you feel that way. Like attracts like.

So, when you come to learn and understand the connection between the way that you are feeling and the results that you are getting, you can begin to direct yourself to think better feeling thoughts. When this happens, you begin to place less importance on the things going on around you and more importance on the way that you feel. You begin to live from the inside out, rather than the outside in. This helps you to change the vibration you are in, what you are attracting on a continuous basis, and ultimately the results that you’re getting.

You are in control. And it feels great to know that!

So start becoming aware of the thoughts you’re thinking, and really see how they are making you feel. Then you can begin to notice what your thoughts and your feelings are causing you to attract. Then play with it, and see if you can change it!
